Mandhera, (insidesomalia.org)-The neighboring country Kenya has deployed heavy military in the frontier town with Somalia Bulahaw. The Kenyan soldiers were seen asking numerous questions to border crossers.

The residents of Bulahaw town used to go to Mandera town for their daily shopping activities into Mandera district into Kenya, their kids attend their schooling at Mandera as well. .

“The questions they asked me are where I am from, for what reason am I going into Mandera, and if at all I have ever seen any member of Al-Shabab” said Xamsa Gulled a mother crossing the frontier.

The deployment of these Kenyan forces, came after frequent theft cases inside Mandera Kenya committed by armed men from the Somali town of Bulahaw, and even firing live bullets towards Kenya during the night.

The Kenyan government has fortified its border with Kenya since the air raid at Duasmareb town in central Somalia, which has killed a senior Al-Shabab leader Shiekh Adan Eyrow.

After the air bombardment by the US the Al-Shabab group have declare to carry out a reprisal attack on all Americans where ever they are.

Al-Shabab was the military wing of the Islamic Courts Union who was in control of south and central Somalia for six months, but later ousted by the Ethiopian troops who arrived in the country to support the feeble Somali government.
